Really frustrating not being able to consistently play or crash when playing with friends.Ĭons: Apparently the Corsair HX850 does not like power surges and power outages. And when playing certain games, the PSU makes unusual noises. Keeps getting BSOD and event viewer shows it's power related. Reading some of the reviews of my PSU on newegg, sounds like a few people are having the same issue as I am.Ĭons: I've been having issues with my computer in the last month. If not then its my titanX, would that be accurate? The PSU and gfx card are both still under warranty, so i can swap either of them out.Īlso I just finished up the memtest and had zero errors. I can install the 780 tomorrow to see if my system still restarts while gaming, if it does its the PSU for sure. I think it draws the same power as my titanX. Now the system is back to the same problems with the display shutting out entirely, it also seems that the voltage drops may have gotten bad enough that the system is off entirely(cant say for certain).Damn.well without checking my PSU with a multimeter, i still have my 780gtx. I figured the PSU was the problem and swapped out my original 750W Coolmaster with my new Corsair and the system ran flawlessly.for a few weeks. Low and behold both diagnostics showed my voltages dropping out. I suspected I might either be having some issues with either the graphics card or the PSU so I installed Speccy and HW monitor to check my voltages. It gradually got worse to the point that even upon startup the system would keep a black screen despite the computer booting up.

Now to get to the problem a few months ago I started having problems with my graphics crashing out, at first the screen would go black for a few seconds and come back saying the nvidia display driver had stopped responding.
